Stunning View of Maryland Mormon Temple Captured by Drone

A YouTube user captured up-close images of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Temple in Montgomery County.

YouTube user Tony Collins flew a drone around the Mormon temple in Kensington, giving non-church members a glimpse of the structure they could never get without his help.

In a video he posted earlier this week, Collins compiled the breathtaking footage he captured of the temple and its grounds.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has 143 temples operating worldwide. While visitors are permitted on the temple grounds, only members are allowed inside the temple.

Collins thanks The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the video for giving him permission to fly the drone around the building and the grounds.

The Kensington temple was dedicated on Nov. 19, 1974. For those who have never been inside the building or the grounds, this video offers an up-close view of the stunning structure.
