'Beautiful Creatures' Co-Author Set To Greet Fans At Barnes & Noble
The recently-released film starring Jeremy Irons, Viola Davis and Emma Thompson is based on the best-selling young adult novel.
The co-author of "Beautiful Creatures," a best-selling young adult novel on which a new feature film is based, is gearing up to greet fans Saturday at Bethesda's Barnes & Noble.
Kami Garcia, who authored the fantasy novel along with Margaret Stohl, will appear at downtown Bethesda's landmark bookstore for a signing at 2 p.m. Saturday. A "supernatural love story," "Beautiful Creatures" is about a teenage boy who meets a girl who is able to use magic. It's set in fictional Gatlin, South Carolina.
The book is the first in a series of four, and has topped the New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, IndieBound, and Publishers Weekly bestseller lists.
