Bronze bas relief sculptures by Mark Kramer

The Bethesda Urban Partnership & Arts and Entertainment District introduce the work of local sculptor and architect Mark Kramer at Gallery B, the city’s new community gallery space, 7700 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, Maryland. The show will run from Oct. 14, 2011 through Nov. 5, 2011.

A noted sculptor and architect in the Washington DC Metro area for over 25 years, Kramer’s show, A Retrospective of Figurative Bronzes, features a series of new and prior bronze bas relief sculptures.  Kramer will be the first artist to exhibit work at Gallery B. Kramer’s latest works — interpretations of Parisian cultural landmarks — are complimented by his Zodiac Series, a collection of dramatic visual scenes inspired by the symbolism of astrological signs.

A free event to showcase the exhibit will take place from 6 to 9 pm Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, as part of the Bethesda Art Walk. A portion of proceeds from the show will be donated to the Bethesda Arts and Entertainment District.
