"Edward Gero as Mark Rothko"

Edward Gero as Mark Rothko

On January 22, at 10:25am, Edward Gero will discuss his insights about art and life from preparing for and peforming the role of Mark Rothko in the play RED. Gero will appear at River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation,(RRUUC) in  Bethesda.  Gero, an actor and a professor of drama at George Mason University, is playing Mark Rothko in  the John Logan play, RED.  The play runs at Arena Stage  from January 20th through March 4th, 2012.  In the play, Rothko and his assistant grapple with form, history, loss, and the meaning of the color red.

The "Mark Rothko"  discussion is part of RRUUC's ongoing program, "Coffee, Controversy, and Conversation."  It will be held in the Congregation's Fireside Room.
