Gallery B's March Exhibition

Gallery B is pleased to present its sixth exhibition, Mind’s Eye: A Vision of Contemporary Art, featuring contemporary paintings by Annapolis artist John Bodkin. The exhibit will be on display from March 6 –31 at Gallery B, located at 7700 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite E, Bethesda, MD. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Sunday, 11am-6pm

 

John Bodkin’s work is on display in more than 150 national and international private and corporate collections. Recently, three of his paintings were selected for the Art in Embassy program sponsored by the US Department of State.

Bodkin holds a MFA from the University of Tulsa and a BFA from Ringling School of Art. He has taught at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA and Cameron State College in Lawton, OK and has taught numerous private and community classes. Bodkinformerly operated and directed the American Contemporary Gallery in Annapolis.

Mind’s Eye incorporates elements of street art and spray paint with traditional oil paint. Bodkin says, “I want to speak in the voice that is central in our society.”

 

This exhibition’s opening reception will coincide with the monthly Bethesda Art Walk on Friday, March 9th from 6-9pm.
