JUSTICE CINEMA - "BEYOND OUR DIFFERENCES"

The BUCC Faith in Action Group will start its fall Justice Cinema series on October 12th at 7:30 PM in the parlor.  It is free and there will be refreshments.  What more could you want?  Please feel free to ask a friend or neighbor to come with you.  The presentation will be "Beyond Our Differences", a Bill Moyers Journal presentation that was shown on PBS in 2008.  It is a 74 minute documentary directed by Peter Bisanz that explores the positive role of faith in the world today and the fundamental unity of the worlds religions.  With all the religious based conflict in the world it seems like it would be hard to find any unity at all.

Beyond Our Differences provides a tapestry of distinct voices and viewpoints regarding spirituality, woven with one universal expression of hope. By providing such a variety of experiences in such an accessible format, we hope that individual viewers will understand this unified message of hope and will become empowered through their own expressions of faith to impact positive change in their lives and the lives of others.

Save that Friday night for an interesting film followed by a discussion among the audience. If you do plan to attend, please RSVP to admin@bethesdaucc.org or 301-365-3387.
