Romeo and Juliet

Romeo and Juliet belongs to a tradition of tragic romances.  Written early in the career of playwright William Shakespeare, the play is about two young “star-cross’d lovers” whose deaths ultimately unite their feuding families.  It was one of Shakespeare’s most popular stories of young, teenage lovers.

"Romeo and Juliet is chock-full of the most exciting things in theater: beautiful romance, crazy knife fights, rich poetic language, and more. I’m excited to share this production with the B-CC community,” explains Jessie Klueter, B-CC Junior and Director of the show.  "So many people have worked hard to make this a play worth seeing!"

Kleuter was one of several students who applied for the opportunity to direct this show last year when Aaron Taylor, Artistic Director of B-CC Theater and Media Arts, announced the directing opportunity. “Jessie has been working hard since her freshman year, and has graced the stage numerous times. This year, she was ready to put all of her knowledge to good use and direct her first full-length production. I am truly excited to see just how Jessie puts her own spin on this classic tale.”
