Where/When: The opening reception will be held in conjunction with Art Walk,  6-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at The February exhibit will be on display at the gallery from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays through March 3.

Why Go: Photographers Shelva Gallman, of Gaithersburg, and Sandra Jensen-Taubman, of Chevy Chase, will have their work on display during Gallery B's February exhibit along with painter Kevin Gonzales of Brookeville and painter and photog Richard Levine of Arlington. Check out the opening reception this Friday.

Why Go: It's the second Friday of the month, so that means downtown Bethesda art galleries will keep their doors open late to showcase great local, regional and national artwork. Participating venues include 7740 Old Georgetown Road; 4862 Cordell Avenue, 7700 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite E; L'Eclat de Verre, 7015 Wisconsin Avenue; Upstairs Art Studios, 4948 St. Elmo Avenue; and the 4600 East-West Highway.

Why Go: Check out the culmination of 24 hours of theater frenzy as six local, professional theater companies perform plays they've written and rehearsed in just the past day.

Why Go: Make Valentine cards at a Valentine-making workshop, see a comedy-magic show, learn how to sculpt balloons (for teens, with pre-registration), and (also for teens) join in a book discussion of The Giver, by Lois Lowry, and a pizza party (pre-registration required).

Why Go: For a romantic Valentine's Day concert this weekend, see pianist Brian Ganz perform an all-Chopin program—part of his .
