Play In A Day Set For Feb. 11

Professional acting troupes will write, rehearse and perform a ten-minute play -- all in 24 hours.

Talk about quick thinking.

Six professional acting troupes from the Washington, D.C. region are set to write, rehearse, and perform an original play in 24 hours during the annual "Play in a Day" festival. And lucky for Bethesda residents, it's all happening right in our backyard.

The eighth annual festival, produduced by the and Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District, is set for 8 p.m. Saturday Feb. 11, at in downtown Bethesda. That's when the curtain will rise, anyway -- the craziness starts the Friday before, when playwrights and directors are assigned themes for their ten-minute masterpieces.
