Bethesda Ice Dance team will perform with Stars at Michael Weiss Foundation fundraiser

On Sunday, September 15 at 4:00 pm, three-time U.S. National Figure Skating Champion and two-time Olympian Michael Weiss, hosts the 9th Annual Michael Weiss Foundation presents “Ice Champions LIVE!” at The Gardens Ice House (13800 Old Gunpowder Road in Laurel, MD).   The star-studded cast of Olympic, World and National skating champions includes Ekaterina (Katia) Gordeeva, Kimmie Meissner, Ryan Bradley, Adam Rippon, Richard Dornbush and Dan Hollander.

It will also include aspiring young Bethesda skaters, siblings and ice dance team Gigi Becker (11) and Luca Becker (13). The Becker siblings began skating as an ice dance team when they were 9 and 7, and just two years later they became the U.S. Intermediate Ice Dance Champions. At this year’s U.S. National Figure Skating Championship, they earned Pewter (4th) in the Novice Ice Dance category. They are Michael Weiss Foundation scholarship recipients.
