We held our 6th Annual Blood Drive in partnership with the American Red Cross Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Blood Services Region on Friday, January 17th 2014. Thanks to the dedication of Ray Charles and his #RedCross team, we were able to accommodate more than 25 donors who graciously found time in their busy schedules to help our community and contribute to a great cause. Local residents, friends, dental colleagues and our patients participated.
This blood drive provided help at a time when the Red Cross has seen a donation shortfall brought on by the recent severe weather.Nearly 320 Red Cross blood drives were canceled in 25 states, resulting in a shortfall of more than 9,300 blood and platelet donations.Thank you! It is your generosity and thoughtfulness that allowed all of us to make this a success.
