Bethesda Cookies by Design Loses Franchise After Mice Report

"We were appalled that an owner could allow this to happen," Cookies by Design national president Jack Long told WUSA9.

The owner of Bethesda's Cookies by Design has seen her franchise agreement revoked after WUSA9 reported on a mice infestation at the bakery, the station reports.

Last month, a WUSA9 reporter found mice droppings in the popular cookie shop's kitchen and near refrigerators and cookie trays.

Cookies by Design national president Jack Long told WUSA9 he revoked the owner's franchise agreement following the report, saying he was "appalled that an owner could allow this to happen."
