Celebrity Chef Jose Andres' Food Truck To Head North

Bethesda residents will soon be able to grab a flauta from popular food truck 'Pepe'.

Looking for a new, non-traditional lunch option? If so, you’re in luck.

Famed local chef Jose Andres is expanding the reach of his popular food truck, Pepe, and the mobile eatery will soon be making stops in Bethesda, Huffpost DC Restaurants reported.

The food truck, which serves up “flautas,” or Spanish sandwiches, has been feeding hungry Washington, DC residents since March, according to the report.

The truck will soon begin making stops near Rockville Town Center, Bethesda’s NIH campus, Bethesda Row and Friendship Heights, along with Northern Virginia, Huffpost DC Restaurants reported.

Just a few flauta selections include the Fútbol Club Barcelona, with thinly sliced chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and shallot mayonnaise, and the Butifarra "Burger," a Spanish pork burger with alioli and brava sauce.

Prices range from $8 to $14.

Twitter is always a good bet -- you can follow them at @pepefoodtruck. You can also follow me on Twitter -- @bethesdapatch -- whenever I see the food trucks announce they're stopping in Bethesda, I'll re-tweet them.

Good to know you'll be letting us know when you see Pepe. How about sending it out on Bethesda Patch since I don't tweet.

Hi Arlene -- I usually only report food truck sightings on Twitter since it's not enough info for a whole article. Are you on Facebook? You can like their page for the info to show up in your news feed. http://www.facebook.com/joseandrescocinero?ref=ts&fref=ts#!/pepefoodtruck?fref=ts
