Broker Bill Miller of Miller, Walker Retail Real Estate told DC Eater that J. Alexander's is looking at "the usual suspects," to include "the East End, downtown, Georgetown, Tysons Corner and Bethesda."
According to DC Eater, the chain usually requires some 8,000 square feet of space.
The chain, which bills itself as a "contemporary American restaurant," currently has locations in 13 states.
The menu items shown on the group's website range from crab cakes to prime rib to cheesecake.
According to the company website, "J. Alexander’s operates in a very decentralized environment. Each of our restaurants provides unique food and beverage offerings and operating policies vary from market to market."
