Kidville Offers More Than Fitness Classes

This Bethesda kid gym has salon services and a boutique store, too.

It's not only a gym for kids, but a hair salon and kid-friendly retailer, too.

, off Bethesda Avenue, is a place where children can play and participate in a variety of fitness-related classes like soccer, gymnastics, dance and even art.

Anjali Varma, a Bethesda mom of two, opened the fitness center for children in May of 2010.

Varma told blogger Wired Momma last month that after having her two sons, she left her job in the corporate world to become a franchise owner of the New York-based kid gym.

But Varma said Kidville offers more than just classes for kids.

"In the next couple of months we will be introducing parenting seminars including CPR classes, positive parenting, organization tips and more," she said.

Her venue serves newborns to six-year-olds and can also be used for birthday parties.
