Open Table's Best American Fare: Why No Bethesda Restaurants?

Six Maryland eateries made the list for Open Table's 2012 Diner's Choice Awards for American fare -- but where are the Bethesda restaurants?

OpenTable diners named six Maryland restaurants for their top-notch American fare, and though Bethesda is well-known for its dining scene, nary a 20814, 20816 or 20817 eatery made the list.

OpenTable sifted through more than five million reviews of more than 15,000 restaurants across the country to determine the winners of the 2012 Diner's Choice awards, the Baltimore Business Journal reports.

In the American fare category, Easton's Bartlett Pear Inn, Hagerstown's LJ's & The Kat Lounge, Frederick's VOLT and Baltimore's CharlestonWoodberry Kitchen and The Prime Rib all made the top 100.

In Washington, DC, Corduroy and 1789 Restaurant made the cut.

Bethesda restaurants also didn't place in other Diner's Choice categories, including most romantic, best service and best brunch -- though Mrs. K's Toll House in neighboring Silver Spring was noted in the latter category.
