Asian bistro Passion Fin has recently opened its doors in the Shoppes at Sumner Place Shopping Center.
The new restaurant has been eagerly anticipated by neighbors of the shopping center, which also houses the popular China Pavilion and French bakery and bistro Praline. The restaurant is located at 4611 Sangamore Road, Suite G.
Streetsense, a brokerage, design and development company, brought Passion Fin to the complex in order to bring more food to the center,
"There's not much food in the area," Rich Amsellem, a broker with Streetsense who served as the leasing agent for the space, told Patch. "We're just trying to bring a little more food to the center help bring some more traffic to the retailers."
The menu features sushi and Thai dishes, along with hibachi and lunch specials. Some of the more notable sushi rolls include the "lobster tempura roll," with cucumber, avocado, asparagus and lobster tempura; and the "Honey Boston roll," with shrimp, cucumber, avocado, asparagus and honey wasabi sauce.
It's the first of several new businesses that will debut in the shopping center. Signs indicate a Weight Watchers and a new market in the former Bethesda Market space are coming soon.
We'll have more details on those new businesses as they become available.
