CHESAPEAKE PUBLIC STRATEGIES WINS HIGHEST HONORS IN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

Chesapeake Public Strategies, a local public affairs firm, was honored to receive multiple MarCom Awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The annual awards are presented to outstanding print, visual and audio entries on the basis of quality, creativity and resourcefulness.

Chesapeake won two Platinum awards, which are the highest possible honor.  One award was for the CabinBranchOutlets.com website, which the Chesapeake team developed to educate Montgomery County residents about upcoming plans for a Clarksburg Premium Outlet® Center in Cabin Branch.  This attractive and engaging website is still in operation and has attracted more than 10,000 visits since it went live in August 2013.

The second Platinum Award was for Chesapeake’s multi-faceted ballot issue campaign to gain passage of a Frederick County ballot question to change their form of government from Commissioner to Charter.  This issue had failed miserably in prior elections.  Chesapeake’s combination of extensive community education outreach, social media, direct mail, grassroots and media outreach, and innovative campaign strategies resulted in an overwhelming win by a margin of two to one.
