MONUMENT BANK NAMES SHARON GRAY VICE PRESIDENT, LOAN OPERATIONS MANAGER

January 9, 2014 (Bethesda, MD) – Monument Bank, a Maryland-chartered community bank based in Bethesda, announces today that it has appointed Sharon Gray its Vice President, Loan Operations Manager.

She will be responsible for day-to-day loan servicing and for identifying and implementing improvements to the loan-servicing process.

Gray has worked in the banking industry for almost two decades, including roughly 11 years with Bethesda-based EagleBank, where from 2008 to 2013, she served as Vice President, Loan Servicing Manager.

During her time at EagleBank, the bank’s loan portfolio increased from several hundred million dollars to about $2.6 billion.

Now, at Monument Bank, “I get to do it all over again,” she says. “The goal is to continue growing this bank, and we have a great group of people to achieve our goal.”

Gray notes that the opportunity to reunite at Monument Bank with some of her former EagleBank colleagues, such as Martha Foulon-Tonat and HL Ward, is one she could not pass up.

“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Martha and HL,” Gray says. “The environment here is calm, focused and professional. I’m excited to join Monument Bank.”
