Capital Wind Symphony Gala

The Capital Wind Symphony is hosting its first annual Winds for Warriors Charity Gala, benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project,  taking place on April 28, 2014, at the Strathmore Music Center in Bethesda, MD.

At the Gala, supporters can expect to hear incredible performances by the Capital Wind Symphony, led by Maestro George Etheridge. The performance is accompanied by an array of visual attractions. Several notable members of the United States Navy and graduates of the United States Naval Academy will also be in attendance. Donations at the event will go towards the Wounded Warrior Project - an organization whose work concentrates on supporting our wounded veterans.

Naval Academy graduate and service-disabled retired U.S. Naval Commander, Edward Abner, will be emceeing the evening, which will also include:

- A narration by Paco Cosio-Marron of Aaron Copland's "Lincoln Portrait;"
- An appearance by Sarah Christian, Former Ms. Maryland United States and U.S. Navy nurse at Walter Reed Medical Center; and
- An appearance from a United States Naval Academy graduate and a service disabled retired United States Naval Commander.
