JUDITH VIORST TO SPEAK AT CHEVY CHASE AT HOME OPEN HOUSE

Chevy Chase At Home will hold its Third Annual Open House for Members and Guests on Sunday, November 3rd, from 2 to 4 PM, at the Woman's Club of Chevy Chase, 7931 Connecticut Avenue.  Acclaimed author Judith Viorst, who has been called "a keen anthropologist of family life", will be our featured speaker, and she will share with us some "Life Lessons From Under Eight Till Over Eighty" with her incomparable wit and wisdom.

Ms. Viorst is the author of 20 children's books, including Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, which has sold over four million copies world-wide and is soon to become a major motion picture.  Her prolific output also
includes poetry, musical plays, a novel and Necessary Losses, which was on the New York Times best-seller list for two years.  When her musical Lulu and the Brontosaurus had its world premiere last month at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, the Washington Post gave it a rave review.

For those of you who don't know about Chevy Chase At Home, it is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization which assists older residents of Chevy Chase, Maryland, who want to continue leading vibrant, active lives in the community as they age in place.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about us while you enjoy the party and hear an outstanding speaker!  Registration is required. Please call the CC@ H office at 301-657-3115 or visit our website at www.chevychaseathome.org.
