PAIN MANAGEMENT

 Living with chronic pain is a way of life for millions of people  We all know someone who complains of back pain or arthritis, and as the population ages, there will be many more chronic pain sufferers.

 On October 23 Chevy Chase At Home will present a talk on Pain Management at 7:30 p.m. at the Chevy Chase Village Hall, 5906 Connecticut Avenue.  Chandoo J. Kalmat, M.D., a pain specialist affiliated with the Pain Management Institute of Bethesda and the District of Columbia, will discuss options for treating chronic pain with an emphasis on back and hip pain, as well as arthritis, headaches, and joint pain.  

  Dr. Kalmat attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Mediine.  He holds medical licenses in Michigan, Maryland and the District of Columbia.  His discussion will include treatment options such as physical therapy, medications, alternative therapies, injections and surgical procedures.  If you or someone close to you suffers from chronic pain, you won't want to miss this informative presentation.
