BooksAlive! 2013 Writers Conference
Pitch your book idea and enjoy a day of panels by well known authors. BooksAlive!2013 will be held June 8th at the North Bethesda Marriott.
A writer's conference, BooksAlive! 2013 will be held June 8 at the North Bethesda Marriott and will feature many well regarded writers and offer an opportunity to pitch book ideas to agents.
It is sponsored by the online Washington Independent Review of Books and promises to be an exciting event.
For writers wanting to pitch a book, the conference will have nearly 20 top literary agents on hand.
Of special interest, are the many prominent writers on the program, including the luncheon speaker Marie Arana, author of "American Chica" (her memoir) and the last editor of Washington Post Book World.

Other panelists include Michael Dirda, George Pelecanos, Laura Lippman, Susan Coll ( you may know from Politics & Prose), Paul Dickson (author of more than 50 books, including recent bio of Bill Veeck), literary agent Gail Ross, novelist Alice McDermott. The day-long conference is for book lovers as well as for book writers, current or aspiring.
