Bake Bethesda a Pie Contest

It's time to show off what you can do with a pie! On Sunday, September 2nd, CFM will be hosting it's 3rd annual "Bake Bethesda a Pie" contest, a fundraiser for Manna Foods Bank.  We have over 37 amateur, but dedicated, bakers (adults and kids!) who will bring their fresh baked delicious sweet and savory pies that will be judged by some of Washington's top food professionals. Our panel of judges includes Joseph Poupon, pastry chef and owner of Georgetown's Patisserie Poupon, and Carole Sugarman, Food Editor of Bethesda Magazine

The contest judging begins at 11 AM at Bethesda Central Farm Market, located at Bethesda Elementary School on 7600 Arlington Rd.  Winners and prizes will be awarded at 12PM.

We guarantee, this is not an event you will want to miss. Best of all? After judging, everyone in the audience gets to taste the pies!

Live from New York! Mr. Divabetic rolls out the Red TOMATO Carpet at "Bake Bethesda a Pie" Contest

Mr. Divabetic, who raises diabetes awareness around the country, is on a quest to glamorize good health by inspiring people to eat more fruits and veggies and he has chosen Bethesda Central Farm Market to do just that.  Helping us kick off the "Bake Bethesda a Pie" contest on September 2nd in his world famous 'fruit suit', Mr. Divabetic will interview customers at the market to capture their honest and often hilarious opinions about healthy lifestyle choices.  Interviews will be compiled into a video to be posted on Mr. Divabetic's YouTube channel! Come on out to be part of the fun!

Bethesda Chevy Chase Rescue Squad at CFM

Members of the BCC Rescue squad will be at the Bethesda Central Farm Market on Sunday, September 2nd to check customers' blood pressure, for free! They are also bringing an ambulance (not in service!) that kids and adults can explore.
