Joining the popular and one of the top winners nationally in the Farmland Trust “America’s Favorite Farm Market” Contest in 2011 Bethesda Central Farm Market, Bethesda MD, and the Northwest Central Farm Market near American University, the new Pike Central Farm Market will hold its grand opening on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 8:30 am at the site of the soon-to-be developed Pike and Rose multi-use Project (Location at the Mid-Pike Plaza at the former site of the old Silver Diner on Rockville Pike between Old Georgetown and Montrose Roads at 8:30 AM)
Joining Co-founders Mitch Berliner and Ann Brody-Cove for the ribbon cutting will be County Council President Roger Berliner and Gianne Italiano, Executive Director of the Bethesda Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce and Federal Realty who is developing the PIKE & ROSE project.
In addition to the 35+ farmers and artisan food producers, there will be lots of fresh food to eat, music, a chef demo by Chef Tony a local chef born in Milan, Italy and raised in
Bethesda, wine tastings from Maryland Winery Boordy Vineyards, music and fun for the kids and the entire family.
