90 Percent Availability Reported For Bethesda Escalators

But the escalators at Bethesda, which at 212 feet are the second longest in the Metro system, were in service 90 percent of the time in the six-month period, the Examiner reported. That’s compared to 67 percent availability at Wheaton, 83 percent at Rosslyn, 87 percent at Medical Center and 89 percent at Woodley Park, according to The Examiner.

The Bethesda escalators' service was also better than the system-wide average of 88.9 percent, The Examiner reported.
