A Wintry Start to the Week

Sleet and freezing rain coated streets this morning in Bethesda.

Freezing rain coated streets with ice Monday morning and led to a tricky trip to work for commuters. By mid-morning, however, temperatures were warming and rain was melting much of the icy mess.

The Washington, DC, region remained under a winter weather advisory.

By tomorrow, temperatures are expected to spike, and we could see weather that reaches the high 50s, WJLA reports.
