All Entrance Escalators Out of Service at Bethesda

Shuttle bus service has been called to the station.

Update, 2:43 p.m.: Bethesda's escalators are back in service, a Metro official confirmed with Patch.

Original story: Metro is reporting that due to a mechanical problem, all the entrance escalators at Bethesda are out of service. WMATA has requested shuttle bus service to the station.

One of the three escalators between the bus terminal and the mezzanine has been out of service as it undergoes a safety repair, with an estimated completion date listed on Metro’s website as April 28. The other two escalators between the bus terminal and the mezzanine are listed on “service call” status.
