Bethesda Rated #2 Healthiest City For Women

Bethesda ranked just below San Jose in SELF Magazine's ranking of healthy cities for women.

SELF Magazine has released its list of top healthy cities for women, and Bethesda came in at number two.

SELF named the top 100 healthy cities for women, using criteria including recreation -- including hiking and biking -- clean air, and low crime.

Editors weighed more than 7,000 bits of data to come up with the list.

Bethesda came in just below San Jose, CA, at number one, and just above San Fransisco at number three. Other cities included in the top ten were Honolulu, HI, Minneapolis, MN, and Fargo, ND.

SELF also named the unhealthiest cities for women, using criteria including high rates of disease, smokers and fast-food restaurants. Top unhealthy cities included Tulsa, OK, Jackson, MI, and Deroit, MI.
