Bethesda Cookies By Design Loses Franchise Because of Mice Report

"We were appalled that an owner could allow this to happen," Cookies by Design National President Jack Long told WUSA9.

The owner of Bethesda's Cookies by Design has had her franchise agreement revoked because of a WUSA9 report on a mouse infestation at the bakery, the station reports.

Last month, a WUSA9 reporter found mice droppings in the popular cookie shop's kitchen and near refrigerators and cookie trays.

Cookies by Design National President Jack Long told WUSA9 he revoked the owner's franchise following the report, saying he was "appalled that an owner could allow this to happen."
