Date Announced For Jayna Murray Foundation 5K Bethesda Run/Walk

Run for homicide victim Jayna Murray to take place in downtown Bethesda Sept. 18.

A date has been set for a downtown Bethesda run to honor Lululemon homicide victim

The event, organized by the Jayna Murray Foundation, is set to take place Sept. 18 in downtown Bethesda, according to a Facebook announcement.

It’s been dubbed the Jayna Murray Foundation 5K Bethesda Run/Walk.

Murray, 30, was found dead March 12 inside the Bethesda Avenue athletic retail store. Her co-worker Brittany Norwood, 28, who police initially described as the surviving victim of an attack by two masked men,

Police said Norwood to make it appear as though an attack had taken place. A preliminary hearing that had been set to go forward April 15 in Montgomery County District Court was waived by Norwood’s defense attorneys. Her next court date is set for May 13.

The Lululemon company has announced its plans to in coming months.
