Georgetown Square Giant Debuts New Look

A new natural foods section and bakery are a part of the grocery stores's new makeover.

Local officials recently stopped by the Georgetown Square Giant to celebrate the grocery store's new look.

The renovated Giant now features a redesigned produce section with an expanded fruit and vegetable selection, a seating section near the in-store pharmacy, an expanded natural and organic section, a re-designed service deli, six new self-checkout lanes, and a new bakery with a full array of baked goods, according to a news statement from Giant..

During the re-opening event April 12, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett (D) County Councilman Roger Berliner (D-Dist. 1.) were on hand as Giant donated $2,500 to KEEN Greater DC, a group that provides recreational opportunities for children and young adults with disabilities.
