The jury was sent home for the day Thursday afternoon.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA—(Update, 1:08 p.m.) The jury in the trial of George Huguely was sent home for the day Thursday afternoon because defense co-counsel Rhonda Quagliana was still not well enough to resume proceedings.

Judge Edward L. Hogshire instructed the jury to return at 9 a.m. Friday, when he hopes proceedings can resume.

"We're still on target to conclude the case fairly expeditiously," Hogshire said, but "time is going to be critical" from now on.
