Last Chance: Young Journalists Development Program Award Nominations

Do you know a high school journalist working to make an impact in your community?

Friday, April 20, is the deadline for nominations for the Washington Post's Young Journalists Development Program Awards. The award program, in its inaugural year, recognizes excellence in high school journalism in the Washington, D.C. area. It honors high school journalists along with high school journalism advisors.

High school students, English teachers, and journalism advisors are eligible to make nominations.

The award winners will be determined by a committee off Washington Post reporters, program mentors and District-area journalism advisors. Award categories include Emerging Young Journalist, Young Journalist Leadership, and two Advisor Awards.
