No-Pants Metro Ride Set for Sunday

No pants? No problem. You'll be in good company if you take the Metro this Sunday.

The No-Pants Subway Ride DC 2013, organized by Improv Everywhere, is set for 2 p.m. on Jan. 13 at Hancock Park near the L’Enfant Metrorail station, Huffpost DC reported.

The DC iteration is in its sixth year, but the event takes place in cities across the country and globe. It was launched in New York City in 2002.

The pants-less passengers will take over the Metro between Metro Center, Chinatown, and L’Enfant stations and celebrate with an after party at Cobalt in the District.

More than 450 have responded so far to the Facebook invite.

According to the group, the event isn't a pants protest—rather, it's about the hilarity that ensues when a large group of people just "happen" to forget their pants.

If you're planning to participate, start thinking about your story now, Improv Everywhere advises. They offer a few suggestions:

“My dog ate my pants.”
“I dropped off my pants at the dry cleaners and didn’t bring a spare.”
"I don’t know who these people are, I never wear pants. I’ve obviously started a trend."

Just remember to wear clean underwear and follow directions from Metro employees, according to the group.
