Obama Awards Purple Hearts At Walter Reed Bethesda

The president visited with 27 wounded service members Friday, according to news reports.

Marking his first visit of the year, President Barack Obama stopped by Bethesda’s Friday afternoon, the AP reported.

Obama visited with 27 wounded servicemen and women -- 11 soldiers, 14 Marines, one sailor and one NATO forces member, Politico reported. The president awarded eight Purple Hearts, according to Politico.
