Obama to Visit Wounded Warriors in Bethesda Monday

President's visit to Walter Reed Bethesda is scheduled for 12:45 p.m.

President Obama is due to visit the new in Bethesda Monday, according to a White House statement.

Obama is set to meet with wounded warriors in a visit closed to the press, according to the statement.

Obama will depart the South Lawn of the White House en route to Walter Reed Bethesda at 12:15 p.m. and will arrive at the military hospital at 12:45 p.m.

The newly-minted Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, formerly known as the National Naval Medical Center, from the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center in the District. The merger was a part of the federally-mandated Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process.
