Flowers and notes sprouted up at the Bethesda store following news of Steve Jobs' death.

An impromptu memorial has sprouted up outside the following news of the death of Steve Jobs.

Jobs, Apple's co-founder hailed by many as a visionary, died of pancreatic cancer Wednesday. He was 56.

In Bethesda, flowers and notes adorned the sidewalk outside the Bethesda Avenue Apple Store. Fans and supporters also left apples there, marked with words including, "R.I.P., Steve, and thank you."
