Reports: Norwood Violated Court Order to Stay Away from Ex-Boyfriend in 2007

The Washington Post reported on the court order citing documents filed in D.C. Superior Court.

The Washington Post is reporting that Brittany Norwood, the woman at the Lululemon store in Bethesda March 11, violated a court order to stay away from an ex-boyfriend in 2007.

The Post reported that Norwood punched, pushed and threw things at the former boyfriend, citing court records. The man filed an affidavit in Washington, D.C. Superior Court on Oct. 3, 2007. Norwood later continued to follow the man and his girlfriend, the Post reports, citing the court documents.

The ex-boyfriend told court officials that Norwood needed "anger management" and a "psychiatric evaluation," and said he feared for his safety, the Post reported.

After requesting to postpone a court appearance, Norwood failed to appear at subsequent court dates, and a warrant was issued for her arrest in May 2008, the Post reported. However, Norwood was never arrested, and the warrant expired.

“These are allegations stemming from a domestic situation, which were never proven in court,” Norwood's lawyer, Christopher A. Griffiths, told the Post.
