Speak Out: Should Pets Be Allowed on Amtrak Trains?
One member of Congress is pushing for rule changes, The Washington Post reports.
If you're thinking of bypassing I-95 and hopping on a train for a weekend getaway, your seatmate could be a little smaller and little furrier than usual, provided recent legislation to allow pets on Amtrak trains passes.
The Washington Post reports that Rep. Jeff Denham (R-CA) drafted a bill that would allow dogs and cats on some trains.
Currently, the train company only allows service animals.
