Planning on hopping the Red Line this weekend? Here’s a few things you need to know, according to WMATA:
- Trains will be single-tracking between Dupont Circle and Judiciary Square as crews conduct maintenance and utility work.
- Re Line trains will leave the Shady Grove and Glenmont stations about every 10 minutes between 9:30a.m. and 9p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Every other train leaving Shady Grove will end at Dupont Circle, and every other train leaving Glenmont will end at Union Station.
- Outside of those times, trains will run about every 20 minutes.
- The last trains on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will leave Glenmont 11 minutes earlier than usual, at 2:26 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 11:26p.m. on Sunday.
- All Red Line riders should tack on about 30 minutes of extra travel time to their weekend trips.
Track work is also planned on the Green, Orange and Blue lines. Check WMATA’s press release for more information.
