Today At the U.S. Open: June 16

Today is the first day of championship rounds.

It’s the first championship round at the U.S. Open at today. Gates will be open from 6a.m. to 7p.m. Play is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. from both the first and 10th tees, according to the U.S. Open Spectator's Guide.

The last pairings of the day will begin play at 2:52 p.m. and finish around 7:30 p.m. Check out a list of pairings and tee times here.

Remember, there is no official on-site parking at Congressional. A high of 75 degrees is expected today with a chance for scattered afternoon showers, according to the Weather Channel. Chance of rain is 40 percent.

Traffic is expected to begin to reach its peak today around Congressional as the championship rounds begin. If you’re not heading to the tournament, avoid the following routes if possible:

  • River Road from the Capital Beltway to Falls Road
  • Falls Road from I-270 to Oaklyn Drive
  • Seven Locks Road from River Road to Democracy Boulevard
  • Persimmon Tree Road
  • Bradley Boulevard
  • Persimmon Tree Lane
  • Oaklyn Drive
