Snow Possible in Montgomery County Early Thursday

The Washington region could see about an inch of snow accumulate overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Montgomery County could see about an inch of snow accumulate early Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

NWS has issued a winter weather advisory for much of the Washington region, including Montgomery County, from midnight Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday.

Untreated surfaces could become covered with snow, possibly creating slippery conditions during the morning rush hour.

Temperatures will be in the teens and lower 20s Thursday morning, according to WJLA's StormWatch 7 Weather Blog.

"This should be the kind of snow that you can sweep off the steps or driveway with a broom rather than a shovel," WJLA reported. "Not great for snowballs!"
