ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
KAREN WEBBER GILAT
Karen Webber Gilat is a teaching/performance artist, actress, poet and Jewish cantor who designs musical/theatre programs. Karen serves as a chaplain with the Jewish Social Service Agency bringing the Sabbath thru song and story to elder-care facilities throughout the county. She is also on the Montgomery Speakers Bureau currently touring her one woman show, "Welcome to Chestnut Lodge". The life and work of psychoanalyst Frieda Fromm Reichmann, clinical director of Chestnut Lodge Sanitarium in Rockville is brought to life.

ELLOUISE SCHOETTLER
Ellouise believes that "your story is your legacy".
She recently had an opportunity to share her ideas
about the importance of "telling your your" as one of the participants in TEDxBethesdaWomen which is now LIVE on the internet.

KIT TUREN
Kit Turen has been observing the world and sharing her observations and experiences all her life. Many of her stories reflect growing up as a Baby Boomer. She has performed at DCAC, SpeakEasyDC, the Washington Storytellers Theater, the Mid-Atlantic Storytellers Festival, New York City's Blah Blah Lounge and at numerous gatherings.
As an award-winning radio and television producer, Kit wrote and produced stories about the lives and experiences of other people, places and events. One thing you might not realize about Kit is that she also observes times of extended silence.
