Ministries Program.
Ten Thousand
Villages is an exceptional source for unique handmade gifts, jewelry, home
decor, art and sculpture, textiles, serveware and personal accessories
representing the diverse cultures of artisans in Asia, Africa, Latin America
and the Middle East. One of the world's largest fair trade organizations and a
founding member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), the company
strives to improve the livelihood of tens of thousands of disadvantaged
artisans in 38 countries.
Community Ministries of Rockville (CMR) seeks to
improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable of Montgomery County
residents by providing them with basic health and human services and advocating
on their behalf, with the goal of helping them achieve and maintain
self-sufficiency. The Elderly Ministries program provides
personal homecare services, food delivery, home repair and modifications for safety so low and low-moderate income frail elderly can age in place and avoid premature institutionalization.
