A Taste of Argentina: Food, Live Tango Music and Shopping!
Washington, DC—October 26, 2013. November is just around the corner and local schools and charities in the DC metropolitan area will start holding a multitude of holiday fairs and events. If you are looking for something different and
original, perhaps an enjoyable family event providing a friendly cultural immersion experience with tasty food, entertainment and unique shopping, look no further!
The Escuela Argentina de Washington (Argentinian School of Washington) will
hold its Annual International Bazaar on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event features Latin American and international artisans that offer jewelry, crafts, adult and children’s clothing, chocolates, regional products and much more! Traditional food and European-style pastries include empanadas, pebetes, sandwiches de miga, alfajores, facturas, churros and other tasty treats with excellent coffee or hot chocolate.

Come to this free event and
enjoy a chance to win an iPad Mini or an iPod (raffle tickets are only $5), and bid on a silent auction featuring fabulous items including wines from La Cava (favorite wines donated by the families of the school). At noon, don’t miss LIVE TANGO MUSIC by renowned Argentinian bandoneonist Emmanuel Trifilio, and Venezuelan guitarrist, Ramón González!
For more than 40 years, the Escuela Argentina de Washington, a nonprofit educational institution, has been serving students and families from a diverse Spanish-speaking community in the D.C. metropolitan area. About 400 students and their parents travel across the region to take their children to this school.

Free admission, free parking. The Escuela Argentina Bazaar will be held next Saturday, November 2, from 9 am to 3 pm.
