Lost and Found Horse Rescue Fall Festival and Open House

Lost and Found Horse Rescue will present a free open house and program, from 11 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at its location at 15800 Darnestown Road. 

"With this open house, we want to acknowledge and thank the members of the community for their support and loyalty, and introduce our farm to new equine enthusiasts," says Maria Anselmo, Manager of Lost and Found Horse Rescue. 

During the open house, Lost and Found staff members and volunteers will conduct escorted tours of the farm, present interactive demonstrations including a unique, “Skeleton in Motion“ presentation.  The Equestrian Thrift Store will be open offering used saddles, tack and books for sale plus the Fourth Annual Dirty Donkey Contest and a Unicorn Photo Booth.  Refreshments will be served.   

Lost and Found Horse Rescue is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization founded in 1999 by Robert and Mary Truland and is dedicated to rescuing equines from neglect, abuse, and slaughter.  Through the programs animals are cared for rehabilitated, retrained, and placed in new homes.
