MISS SAIGON,
a musical by Claude Michel Schonberg and Alain Boubil (of Les Misérables) is an
emotional tale about forbidden love, the tragedies of war and the sacrifices
made to achieve the American Dream. At the peak of chaos during the Vietnam
War, an American soldier and a Vietnamese girl fall in love, only to be
separated at the fall of Saigon. Their struggles to find each other in the
following years leads to a difficult and tragic end for her and a new chance
for the child he never knew he had. MISS SAIGON is a moving testament to the
human spirit and a powerful indictment of the tragedies of war.

THIS SHOW
MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13.

Whitman Drama is an award-winning high school drama
department directed by theater professional Christopher Gerken. It produces a fall musical (with a student Pit
Orchestra), a winter play, and a student-directed talent show in the spring. Whitman
Drama is structured very much like a conservatory program. The department's
primary focus is on the process of artistic development rather than the end-product.
Students are responsible for ALL aspects of theater production. They
participate in multiple theater components — everything from on-stage
performance to design to technical and production management. www.whitmandrama.com.

Team River
Runners (TRR) is a national, volunteer-supported adaptive and
therapeutic adventure-paddling program. TRR serves wounded and disabled
veterans, as well as their families. TRR also has
other non-disabled veterans and active duty service members involved
in volunteer roles. TRR is inclusive, accepting participants from all conflicts
and all disabling conditions regardless of how the injury occurred. www.teamriverrunner.org
