MLK Day of Service Rock Creek Park Clean-up

John Shorb Landscaping and Norman's Farm Market invite you to join our support of Rock Creek Conservancy during the MLK
Weekend of Service.

Bring your friends and families
to volunteer with us at the Meadowbrook Park in Candy Cane City on MLK Monday, January 20th, 1:00-3:00 pm.

We’ll be removing ivy and invasive vines from trees and cleaning-up litter before in travels down Rock Creek. We
encourage volunteers of all ages to participate, but you must be 16+ to use
tools.

Meadowbrook Park is just South of Norman’s Jones Mill Rd. Market in Rock Creek at 7901 Meadowbrook Lane Chevy Chase, MD 20815. Please dress for the weather and for
working in the park by wearing long pants and a long sleeve shirt. Dressing in
layers is the best option. Wear sturdy boots or sneakers. Feel free to bring your own gloves and tools but we’ll be providing these along with beverages and
snacks. Students can earn SSL hours so please bring the needed forms.
