the thesis that as more and more Americans fall into poverty and the


global economy spirals downward, the US is spending more on its military


than ever before. What are the consequences, and what can be done?





Dr. Goodman opens the current events forum for the year with a timely


discussion which guarantees to arouse some strong opinions. He will be
